I would buy one if it were more affordable. I think that would be an awesome idea for a production guitar.

I'm sure it's a great guitar although not really my bag of chips, but to each his own.
I have seen some nice Jag's and Tele's outfitted with filtertrons that look pretty tempting.

It's gorgeous. Were I insanely rich I'd buy it in a heartbeat.
In reality you could probably get one built for maybe 1/4 that amount. What is the provenance worth to you?

Right! It is nice tho. Carved back too! But, really, what IS the provenance? I guess that it's a one-of-a-kind from the Custom Shop. But couldn't you do that yourself, too?

I've been drooling over this GCaster ever since a friend showed me this in the July 2011 Vintage Guitar mag. I went looking for it and couldn't find it at the Custom Shop. Now I know why.
I'd love to own this but, 20K? No way.
Still, love the look!

"Headstock veneer is walnut, I think."
The owner is a goober...he has a VERY expensive guitar, and doesn't know what the headstock veneer is.
Hmm.

"I was told that Fender had no interest in continuing to mixup the gretsch-fender brands."
If that's true, it's a shame. We'll be missing out on some cool guitars, like the Cabronita.

I am with all of you - looks nice, but price is silly.
Any luthier can do that for maximum a quarter of that money.
(Still to much if I were concerned ...)
