This relates to my 68 PR tube blower thread.
First, I'm going to try a new rectifier tube. Where to buy?
Second, does the amp need to be re-biased after that?
Third, if I put in two new power tubes, the same brand 6V6's, as are in the amp now...does it need to be re-biased?
Thanks

"Need" is always relative. But checking bias after changing tubes is pretty much standard procedure.

After reviewing your fuse blower thread I would definately check bias on your '68 PR. I would also consider a cap job if it has not recently been serviced. 44 years is a long time. Filter cap can and bias cap for sure. Intermitant fuse blowing is a sign of week filter caps IMO. Tube issues too so you are on the right track.
I would have all the voltages checked in that thing as well.
I've been buying all my tubes from FDP sponsor AES.

The amp was serviced by Vintage Jon 3 years ago. That's why I was thinking tubes.
