I have an original MIM 1997 (or 98) sunburst Toronado. What is the value of these as a collectible? Whould it hurt its value to replace pickups lets say with Harmonic Design Z90s, put Graph Tech saddles on the bridge, and add locking tuners?

Ditto on the not collectible. You can get them dirt cheap without looking real hard, and I don't see that changing.

I can't say they will not be a collectible since nobody can predict that but I wouldn't be afraid to do the work you want. Only the locking tuners would be irreversible since I belive you may need to enlarge the peg hole. I just upgrade my black 98 Toro with a set of Duncans and lik eit very much. I also have a sunburst 98 Toro and considering some similar upgrades to this.
