I saw one going, a bit beat up but all original.

Threw up a low-ish bid, resigning myself that it'd get soundly beaten, and forgot all about it.

until this morning. Opened my email and found I was the successful bidder in a near empty field.

A bit shocked, actually.

makes up for the Jag bridge cover I failed to re-bid on and lost at $1.25.

Is the U.S on holidays at the moment and everyone is busy doing other things? I really did think I didn't have a chance to win that Jag within my budget.

Market's down on a lot of stuff in general.

Seen a few vintage pedals go for 1/3 of market lately, from sellers with good reps, good photos, etc.

Congrats on the Jaguar. Unfortunately here in the US many of us are just broke, that's all.

it arrived yesterday and I only had time to pick it up and rush to a gig. After a quick unpack and retune it got used on stage when the lead singer broke a string on his G&L ASAT (I was mixing sound). He loved it. Even the lead guitarist (who runs a guitar shop with a zillion guitars in it) liked it.

it's in much better condition than the photo's lead me to believe.

I'm stoked (pictures soon)

Here's the question though: It's totally original - even the solder joints haven't been touched. I'm trying to get a lead-guitarist friend switched on to the Jaguar sound. He's used my '62 Jag and suggested a treble-bleed cap over the volume pot to make changes in volume more flexible.

Should I?

At least not yet.

Use it yourself for a while and then see if you think it should be done.
