OK, first insert your joke here:
Now that we got that out of the way, I have these Peruvian cowbells that I use. They're high/low doubles, kind of like agogo bells on steroids.
They've become rusty to the point where every time I use them my hand is covered with rust powder. No fun to go back to guitar.
Any suggestions for cleaning and/or refinishing?

My first thought (as an auto detailer by trade) is to use wheel acid. It'll definitely get rid of corrosion and uncover any finish that's left hiding underneath. If you try it, wear goggles, gloves and respirator, and don't let the product dwell for more than 60 seconds.
