FDP Forum / Tin Pan Alley - Songwriting / Is the sarcasm not evident enough in this tune?

I recorded and posted this about a year ago. With this week's news, it made me think of this tune again. I never really knew if the sarcasm and nuance was obvious enough in this. I certainly had no intentions of this coming across like I was sympathetic to these people's cause. Quite the opposite, I was trying to show just how looney tunes they were (and just how long a struggle this may be). I got the idea to write and record it after reading a book called The Looming Tower. If you have a sec, please give it a listen and let me know if the point is or isn't obvious enough. This link goes to my site where the lyrics are posted as well. So at the risk of getting flamed, here you go. (by the way, click where it says Play MP3 above the lyrics on the right.)

Hard to really to follow the words while you are singing them, so I wouldn't worry about it too much. Also, no ones gonna read that many lyrics for a song (ha, ha).

Sounds OK to me.

Yeah, you're right. Unless you're Dylan, people are going to tune them out. Thanks for the two cents!
