FDP Forum / Rock-it 88's - Keyboard Forum / Soft Synth for iPad?

Does there exist a decent soft synth for the iPad platform that would work in conjunction with a dummy keyboard? I’m looking for something I could use as a stage keyboard with pre-programmed sounds and configurations that would be very easy to access. The PC UI doesn’t really suite what I’d like for easy access.

As always, I’m just looking for a decent Rhodes and B3 with a few cheesy synth sounds for color.

Garageband for Ipad has like 48 keyboards in the app. You can hook most Midi keyboards to the ipad via the camera connection kit.I use an M audio key rig 49, It works fantastic with no latentcy.

Pretty cool. At $4.99 for the app, that might be all I really need.

I'm with KentHaralson - the B3 and EP simulations in Garageband for iOS are incredibly good, both Wurly and Rhodes models. For 5$ you can't really go wrong. Make sure to get a compatible keyboard to connect. I have an Akai synthstation 25 and I had to buy a more expensive app that would see the MIDI out of the keyboard and shuffle it to the core MIDI which Garageband can see. Got it working the but the MIDI Bridge app cost more than Garageband!
