Heres a few of my songs if you guys could be so kind as to listen and give me suggestions as to how to improve my voice. I don't like it but they've all charted ok so maybe its not as bad as I think.

I only listened to the first track, but you might be able to improve by working on your phrasing a bit.

Thank you I wrote lyrics to 3 more songs huming a melody and writing what I thought fit. Hopefully they come out better. Singing and writing lyrics is new to me I usially just play guitar

I think the lyrics sounds rushed like you're cramming a lot into a small space. Also the first two tracks are more about the rock guitar thing.

I think you should take your Martin and learn everyday simply cowboy chord songs that are really sparse and learn to, as the other poster said, phrase. That means think about every syllable deliberately and have it have a purpose.

Keep at it. Singing is a learned skill just like playing the guitar. When I listen to my voice recorded I generally wince but I know I sound better today than I did 10 years ago.

Learn as many 'singer/songwriter' songs in you'll eventually find your own voice. Also take lessons. It's amazing what a professional can do.
