wann keep the set under $100. Single coil no stack or Hums.Looken for crisp clear neck and a warm crunchy classic rock bridge.

New Nocasters for about $110. Best Tele pup at that price. If have to go under $100 then Fender OV are best

Twisted Tele neck pup and Broadcaster bridge pup.

Now stock in Am Std Teles. Great sounding pups in all pup combinations.

Check out the offerings from Bill Lawrence (RIP) via his link here - the Keystones, or even some of his other pickups still get great reviews.

I have a set of his Strat S280 pups in one of my guitars and they've been in there for years...the only thing I might replace them with is another BL set, the S200's.

Fender OV. They sound the most "Tele" to me. No weak points, solid pickups for not a lot of money.

The BL Keystones are great for hard rock or jazz: piano tones (that can drive an amp) with plenty of sparkle. I have changed out my set in one Tele (for Rumple White Ropes set) because they have more bang than twang, but I plan to put them in a 60s Thinline Tele soon. Works well with a 4-way switch, too.
