I just bought this guitar a few months ago. The first time I've taken it out of the house was this morning. I played it at church. Otherwise it hangs on the wall and the case is in the closet.
Came home and started looking at the paperwork still in the case for some reason. On the label inside my guitar it says Model 6120-1959. On the blue Gretsch Quality Control Department O.K. Card, inside the case, it says it's a 6120-1959 LTV.
The Serial number matches on both.
I just sent an email to Gretsch asking. Hope they reply.
Anyone ever experience this? Not sure how to know which one is correct.
On the card it was "OK'd by O.J.". Would that be a red flag?

I think I found the answer. Don't all the tv jones pups have that name on the top? TV JONES
Now my only issue is the card saying one thing and the guitar label saying another.
Update: Reply from Gretsch. Mine comes up as a 6120-1959. I guess I'll throw the card away.

Good to go. I got one last year and it's the best Gretsch, including vintage originals, I've ever played.

Same here, and I'm starting to think it's the best guitar I've ever played. I really like it...and the neck is so good.
