Is anyone using this device?

The doubling effect on it sounds pretty good, IMO, and very easy to use with foot controls.

I'm interested in this myself. I just started looking for a decent, not too expensive vocal processor and this seems to fit the bill.

It's just plain awesome. The presets are perfect. It's the pedal I've always wanted. Got mine used at GC for $199.

Well, out of curiosity (and a $30 coupon courtesy of GC) I ordered a VE-20 today.

I've just bought one of these.

Easy to use (probably even more so if you read the instructions!!) & the effects / harmonies etc are impressive, BUT .... when used (powered by a correct dc source or batteries) with a SM58 into a high quality pa system, there is a noticeable hum from the foh speakers when the VE-20 connected channel is switched on. This hum disappears when the channel is muted.

The hum is of course not heard when the pa is in action soundwise, so it does not interfere when performing, but is this normal?

I ended up sending the VE-20 back. It's a nice unit, but not the most user-friendly in a live setting--in particular, the lack of ability to access any presets without bending over to turn a knob. Boss really missed the boat on that one.

I'm getting a TC Helicon HarmonyG-XT instead. Better suited to my needs, and TC is pretty hard to beat in terms of build & effects quality.

Paul,

If you hold down the left pedal for 2 seconds, then you can use the 2 pedals to move up and down between presets. Boss didn't miss the boat, you did.

D'oh! Serves me right for not reading the manual. Wouldn't have figured that out on my own.
