YouTube alert!

For FAWM this year I am doing all guitar/vocal videos (ha, ha). Hard to write a song one day and video the next and not make a couple of boo-boos (even a super simple one like this!).

Lemonade Stand
(c) Emmrich 2011

when i was younger I had a lemonade stand
5 cents a cup, there was a big demand
blond haired sue and big fat Charlie
used to help out getting everything ready

Charlie had an idea how to attract the crowds
And Sue was handy with them verbs and nouns

So we painted a sign in yellow and black
waved at the drivers and they waved back
and on our sign we proudly displayed
"when mom gives you lemons -- make lemonade"

At the end of the day we knew it was time
to take our change to Fred's five and dime
fireballs, swizzlers and baseball cards
that whole summer we were never apart

(chorus again)

Now I'm older and I realize that lemons aren't free
but the kids want to build a stand by our front yard's
magnolia tree

(chorus again)

(tag -- slower)
"when mom gives you lemons -- make lemonade"
