During last rehearsal I tried to reach a high note which I needed to sing a with a lot of power.. it was a new song of my own and I was a bit tense to sing it for my band members which I think is why I damaged my vocal chords. I can't reach my high notes anymore. And I have an important audition coming up tonight..!! I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Any tips are more than welcome!!! ;-)

Just so you know, and I am in all honesty not trying to be a pr***. But a "chord" describes something you make out of a collection of notes on a piano or some stringed guitar-like instrument.

A "cord" in the sense of a vocal cord, is something located in your voicebox, located in the front of your neck, which is something I will not attempt to describe any further as I am not a doctor.

Hope your audition went well and whether it did or did not, I hope your voice box is ok....

Jeez side swipe... Lay off the caffeine. My guess is that English is not his first language but he writes it better than a lot of people on this forum.

Steavis, I know that your audition was several months ago. How did it go? Assume your vocal cords are all healed up.
