I know, it's probably sacrilegious to even suggest this in this forum, but would this be a pretty easy swap, both electronically (assuming piece of cake) and cosmetically (i.e., would the existing pup routs accommodate a p90?).

Edited to clarify: the swap I'm considering would be on a DeArmond M75.

Assuming you are talking about humbucker-sized P90 clones, you should be OK.
