I'm not looking to set my new powered mixer on the floor at our shows. Any suggestions on what to use to keep it off the floor but safe?

After too many embarrassing incidents trying to balance the band’s mixer on whatever bar stool was available, I finally donated a Hamilton and bought one of these. It’s certainly not ideal from the perspectives of height and safety, but it *does* keep the mixer off of the floor.

Can't even *make* one of these from scratch for less.

An X type keyboard stand (mine is single-braced) with a shelf-board as the table-top.

I have your answer, listen carefully.

Lifetime Mfg. 4-foot table with integrated handle.

$30 at Costco.

If no Costco, find another source.

It is THE P.A. table.

I use a restaurant serving tray that I picked up at a supply house in Wichita.

Is the Lifetime table you have the one with adjustable heights and that also folds in half?

Two stackable milk crates get a decent height and double as carryalls for cables, mics, etc.

I too use an x-type keyboard stand (double braced in my case) for my Mackie 808. No board needed on the top. The mixer fits in nice and secure. I think I paid $40 max for it.

My mixer isn't powered, but it is happy on an X type keyboard stand.

I often sat mine on my bass amp head. But later, I did the "keyboard X stand" (double braced). Since my powered mixer that I use most often is a "board" not a "boxtop" and I would just set it on the keyboard stand. At rehearsal, I often used a TV tray...I saw a couple of wooden, black painted, TV tray/table at WalMart for around $15-$20.

With the current band, it's a keyboard stand. With one of my old bands, it looked like part of my bass rig.

I actually put mine on an angled amp stand. Works perfect.

Similar to this one, but it's angled back farther.

edit: I'm using a board type powered mixer not a box top.

Amp Stand. Angles up, fits the additional power amp under it. Pretty easy.

I do exactly what Juice Nichols does. I X two bungees to keep the powered mixer in place. Neat, tight, angled up and off the floor. Also portable.

No, the 4-foot Lifetime does not fold (nor need to) and it has a built in handle. Rock solid.

My mixer has an anvil case so I just stand it on its end and put my mixer (non-powered) on top. Sturdy, looks great and it's the perfect height.

We use a wooden aquarium stand. You can probably find one really cheap at a garage sale.
