(Having some trouble getting some feedback from actual users on this particular model)

I noticed how much farther away from the bridge the bridge pickup is compared to other Gretsches (6120, 6122-II, White Falcon) due to the muffling system.

Do you owners find that extra space lessens any cut/twang from the bridge pickup?

Thanks,
Buck

Normally, that's how it works. If it's not enough for you, try moving the pup up a little bit.

Not the same guitar but I had a 5122 (DC) and I adjusted the pups quite a bit until I got the sound I wanted.

Check out this thread by Rob Anderson:

Gretsching up your 5120

Much talk about what raising and lowering the pups will do. Very informative.
