If Amy's up for learning the bass lines, I'd like to try George Harrison's two stellar Abbey Road contributions ...

I am building a La Cabronita Clone and was hoping to have it done for the Jam, but I don't think it'll be done in time.

Me and my buddies do Something (but we really need a vocalist).

I've learned HCTS years ago, but have never played it with a band.

Seriously, though, Jer, are you and the gang going to be on hand? That's be most excellent.

Haven't actually tried those two Beatles tunes with our gang, but we may give it a shot when we get together this Sunday.

I'd love to give them a go on the 28th.

RAC, how's the new guitar progressing?

Also ... here's an idea, if The Leadership will sign off on it:

After we get all of the elctronics set up, can we open with a half an hour acoustic-only jam?

Ideally, strictly acoustic, with the only electronics being vocal mics (optional) and perhaps electric bass guitar, turned down low.

The last couple jams have been fun, but a bit unorganized, and somewhat lacking in light & shade ... might be nice to switch things up a bit before we crank up Smoke On The Water ...

Just a thought.

Still getting all of the parts accumulated. I have most stuff ordered but am afraid to order the neck. I feel like a good neck makes/breaks the guitar. Body, bridge, and some other things should be waiting for me at home today. I am doing a Nitro paint job (Daphne Blue) so it will take a week or two to do it right and then a full month to cure before final buffing.

I love the TV Jones Pups.

I may ask for your review of my wiring.

The Acoustic Jam sounds like fun.

I mentioned it to Barry (bass player) last week and he said he'd know more during that week. We have a gig on the 21st. I'll mention it then.

Acoustic stuff is definitely fun too. And you don't (usually) have to worry about too many guitars playing at the same time.

"The last couple jams have been fun, but a bit unorganized,..."

Barry & I went to the Xenia jam last weekend, and one 'rule' that was pretty well accepted was the three (electric) guitars rule (although it was broke a couple of times). It does help keep
the sound clean and made it easier for everyone to stay in sync.

those suggestions sound good to me. both the acoustic jam, and three guitar rule.

maybe we could divide the jam in regards to type of music people would like to play, blues, classic rock, etc.. Or by the artists, beatles, stones, nancy sinatra...?

well, maybe that's too organized.

i just realized i had'nt put it up on the calendar. i'll try tonight.
