Cool kit and certainly within driving distance but I'm vintage drummed out financially for a while. I decided I needed a Swivomatic kick pedal to match everything else. (I have cymbal stands and a hat stand on the way) Now sniping and watching auctions. This will stop the bleeding......hopefully. Oh yeah, still need that swivomatic snare stand, shucks!

I'll give credit to Dadical for this PIC, I hi-jacked it from the Jam forum.

It's maybe the best PIC I have of the kit at it's first official Gig :)

That's my Son JC on the throne ;)

I decided I need to have cases for all this hardware.

So I broke out the table saw and I'm off to the races with a woodwork project.

The box standing upright will hold three cymbal floor stands and one rack tom floor stand. This one is a solid box right now. I need to cut it open, install the dividers, then hinges, latches and a handle and finish it (most likely just with paint).

The one you can see hardware in ... is a *temporary assembly* so I can figure out how to make the compartments for the items. It will go together permanently once I have the interior figured out and the mill work done for the interior. It will hold the hi-hat stand, snare stand, throne and the tree for the two bass mounted toms.

I ordered a set of Nomad cases for the drums. They should be here Tuesday.

The fun never ends ;)

Awesome pics!

By the way, the rubber feet on the hi-hat stand don’t match. You’re working on that too, right? (;oD

garp ... Yes ... actually I am "working on that" ;)

No one was suppose to notice that :)

I can't find black locally in 5/8" ... so I picked up white at Home Depot as Do'fers ;)

Here is one of them *structurally* all finished.

I'll see if I can do some sort of simple padding on the interior. The exterior will just be painted a color of my choice depending on what's available when I'm ready to paint.

This one is 100% complete. Exterior is simple flat black paint ... interior is carpet lined.

This one has been finished for a while. I have been meaning to get a PIC and post it, but the house project has had me over a barrel.

The other case is structurally complete, just need to get it painted and lined. I'd like to get that done before I move into the next phase of the home remodel project. also need to build one more case for the bass drum pedal, floor tom legs and misc extras.

Cymbal & Tom stand case ... ignore the dust, there's been a lot going on around here lately ;)

Any chance you will come down to the SoCal Jam BlondeStrat? You could play my vintage Rogers kit!

I finally got started on the last of three cases for my Drum Kit hardware and Misc supplies.

This case is still in pretty raw form, but will hold my bass drum pedal and floor tom legs. It has an extra rectangular compartment for misc stuff.

There is a quite a bit of area around the bass pedal that I might think of a way to make useful ... but for now I'm burnt out on this one. It's going into a holding pattern for now ... I need to send my mind someplace else for a while.

Maybe I'll glue carpet inside of the other unfinished case. ;)

I found my 10" rack tom. It's perfect for my kit!

And it's adjustable :)

Most ten inch toms are single head and not deep enough to make into double headed toms very well.

I'll be able to make this one be 8X10 (two heads) to match its 8X12 rack tom mate.

Plus being a virgin shell it won't have any extra or odd holes, it will be exactly what I make it be :)

Granted it's another project, but that's fine. this kit has been on helk of a project anyway, so wrapping it up like this will be just fine!

Here it is with just the one large cell on the right to go.

Carpeting this one is a lot more complex than the cymbal stand case was :(

I'll be putting leather in the slots cut in the partitions (the slots hold pieces in position).

It's coming out really well in spite of it's complexity. :)

Hi-hat case ... half carpeted

Here it is with interior completed. It was a long drawn out process, carpeting odd sizes and position of cells, leather, slots to hold large or loose pieces, but there it is.

Just needs paint on the exterior now and it's a done deal.

Here is what I did for drum stick holding power.

This strap set-up will contain about six to ten pairs of sticks.

I removed the throne seat in this PIC so the stick holder is more visible ;)

Latest addition to the kit.

I've been watching these for a while. Not sure of how effective they are, but this one looks pretty nice and I figured it was worth a try.

Here's a video of one of my buddies.

He showed up one day (last January) So I showed him the new Music Room and he noticed the drums ... he is a drummer.

He tuned each drum using his method and adjusted the kit to his liking and sat down.

I guess this means the kit is pretty much done.
