One month and one week to go ... hope the weather's as sweet as it's been this week!

It's been a mild winter in Detroit (especially compared to the rest of the US), but somehow that's making it seem longer ... can't wait to get out an play some rock & roll!

Looks like I'll have a number of friends swinging by, and some possible repeats too (e.g. John, and perhaps some of the other guys from CIA).

And of course, b'sides the usual stuff, I should have at least one piece of new gear on hand to play with!

Beatles? Heck yeah (yeah yeah)!

We should start planning a jam list too. Beatles would be a good place to start.

I always wanted to learn Please Please Me.

Some I already know:

Come Together (in D) is pretty easy
Oh Darling (in A)
Things We Said Today
You Can't Do That
Can't Buy Me Love
All My Loving
Dig A Pony
Dizzy Miss Lizzy
Fixing A Hole
Taxman
I'm Only Sleeping
You Won't See Me
Sgt Pepper/With A Little Help
Lovely Rita

And a cool Stones song is Dead Flowers (D, A, G)

Throw a couple names out ahead of time, and we'll learn'em a wee bit before the 17th (yeah, it's Beatles, but there's at least 1 or 2 I hain't yearnt yet...)!

Not to lose the Brit theme, but ...

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Exactly one month from the next jam! (Well, if you're picky enough, you might call tomorrow the one month mark...)

Looking forward to the performance debut of AmyNasir's SR300 ... sweet orange thump!

Speaking of a British Invasion…

...I invaded London two weeks ago. Currently scheduled to be here through the 1st of April, however that is likely to change. I was here for St Patrick's Day and I believe it is Far more of a Holiday in Detroit than London. Have seen two live bands. Both very very good. I’ll likely be at the Jam in April but may not play much. My guitars have sat untouched for months. I must be going thru something. Being out of the Country for a month or so also makes it a little difficult to give them any attention.

RAC: That's alright, it's like riding a bicycle. Or like putting Trebor back together. Piece o' cake. Safe travels, and hoping to see you by the 17th.

CBob: Sounds good - let us know when you're coming to town, and we'll use it as an excuse to clean up my basement, stock up on snacks and drinks, and make some noise.
