I have some bad acoustic gas, and the GAD-30 intrigues me. The quality looks great, and I like that it's all solid wood. I am comparing it to the Martin OM1 and Taylor 214. Anybody have one?

I've not played one, so talking about this sort of guitar in general:

OM sized body and 'hog back/spruce top should give you a guitar with a non-boomy and reasonably ballanced sound. Would be particularly suited to finger picking and recording.

"Would be particularly suited to finger picking and recording."

That's what I'm looking for. I'm also a sucker for good quality workmansship (especially fretwork) and the GADs appear to be good value.

I'll know soon enough whether this is the right one for me - picked one up from Sweetwater and it's due for delivery tomorrow. I figure if I don't bond with it, I can send it back and go for the Taylor 214. I have played the Taylor and I do like it, but for the same $$$ I get an all-solid body, bone nut/saddle and ebony fretboard, and the 1.75 nut width.
