I believe that Vintage Guitar puts out a price guide, and there may be other.

Subscribing to Vintage Guitar Magazine will provide you information on a monthly basis (I believe that values have fallen recently, owing to th economic conditions).

Just curious, what's wrong with looking at completed listings on ebay? You get to see what the market tells you stuff is really worth. I don't know of a more accurate indicator. Stuff that's overpriced doesn't sell, stuff that's given the chance to be sold (e.g. realistic or no reserve) does and you can see what for.

Most sources such as VG magazine, the bluebook, and even gbase.com are retail values - they are not the price you would get if you try to sell a guitar unless you get very lucky. Those are places where a dealer sells guitars at full retail and sometimes tries to get above full retail from unsuspecting buyers. You need to negotiate those prices down if you are not crazy with your money. Ebay is where you will see what kind of price the average Joe would get.
