Just purchased a Guild Tacoma with the D Tar system. What are the best strings for this guitar to get optimum performance, ie; clarity, tone etc

Lots of different opinions on this one. I actually perfer the Guild lite guage Phos Bronze strings that came with my D-50. I also really like Dadario and John Pearse phos bronze. I usually use med gauge on my other acoustic guits, but am fine with lights on my D50.

I use Light gauge Phosphor Bronze on my Tacoma D-55 w/Fishman Matrix active pup. Sounds great!

In the 1st few months of owning my F47RC, I went through over a dozen sets of strings looking for what played, intonated and sounded best. While the guitar came factory spec with 13-56, it was one of only a few Guild models that came from the factory that way. Most were shipped with 12-53. Now I see on their website that many of the other traditional and jumbo (D-55, D-50, F47, F50, etc.) are all shipping with 13-56.

I tried several D'Addario's, several models and gauges of DR, John Pearse, and I can't even remember what else. I ultimately settled on the John Pearse 12-53 phosphor bronze. Again, they played well, intonated most accurately and sounded the best of all. I think they are also on sale at juststrings.com right now, FWIW...
