Anyone see Ronnie Wood's 1954 on ebay. It has different pickups and active electronics.

Ciso guys,
Is the scratchplate on your 54 going cream colured? Mine is no longer bright white and looks cool in my opinion. It is always out of the case but not in direct sunlight.
thanks

My plastic isn't changing colour, but it is cracking! Pup covers have cracks on the top and sides, and knobs have lost most of their paint.
I was even thinking of putting new pup covers on to preserve the originals as I think they'd be hard to replace. I know the real thing suffered from the same problem.

I was just curious if anyone knows...

Are the '54 master builds p/u's Alnico 3's or Alnico 5's? I've heard fender used Alnico 3's in their 'early days'(that could mean anything) and then switched to Alico 5.

thanks for any info.
