Yep.....I have't done one of these YOOHOO posts in a while; so here goes! (I've already trumpeted this good news on the Strat and Highway Hound threads)
(DRUMROLL PLEASE!)I said I was gonna do it one day soon....and that day has come!! (Thanks to my lovely fiancee for the Christmas present!! Yeah I talked/begged her into letting me add to my collection. God I LOVE this woman!!)
I have indeed added a 5th(!!!) Highway One Strat HSS to my stable. I was missing the Wine colored one.....and now the planets have aligned. I have her.....picked her up tonight from a man on Craigslist....he still had the tags on her along with all the case candy. I'm in heaven!!
Much like the others....she is getting a makeover.
The plans.....a DiMarzio Virtual P.A.F. in the bridge and two DiMarzio Area '58's in neck/middle.Schaller locking tuners and Ferraglides.

My 5th (!!??) HWY 1 Strat HSS

Ironically I just played one of these today. Played great. Sounded good. Might change out some or all of the pu's at some point but all in all this will likely be my next purchase. This will be my second American HSS. I am quickly becoming addicted to the versatility these things afford. Single coil quack and thick, dirty grit all in one convenient package. Sold my VM Les Paul last week on e-bay. Plan on sticking strictly to HSS strats from now on.
