I always liked Buddy Miles, he always had a bit of a jump in his voice from the movement of drumming at the same time.
Pete Rivera, Rare Earth

And speaking of Buddy Miles and Junior Brown.
When Jr. played in Atlanta a few years ago, Buddy was his snare drummer.
I had a gig that night and didn't get to go see him.

I played in a band that opened for Rare Earth in a club gig about 26 years ago. Lead singer/drummer was Pete Rivera - he set up right at the front of the stage - used a large red see-through drumset (Ludwig Vistalites?). A powerful singer and player.

Kevin Godley often sang while playing drums with 10cc. Great pop voice.

Nobody better than Levon Helm. Really complex, funky stuff with the band, all the while singing with that big, soulful voice. Just watch "The Last Waltz" and you'll be convinced.

Don Henley for sure. I doubt any drummer/singer has had as much success as Henley.

Roger Taylor feom Queen. He wasn't the lead singer. But he sang all the backing vocals while Freddie was out front. The vocals he provided in concert on songs like Now I'm Here, Sheer Heart Attack, the ending of Under Pressure were always right in the pocket & his drumming never missed a beat. Then he would just plow through I'm In Love With My Car which was his lead vocal/ drumming showcase. Not many drummers works as hard as he does behind the kit.

We have a local guy named Greg Phillips that is an awesome singer (and a monster drummer). He can play it all, from rock to jazz, to soul, and sing it too.

My vote goes to local Atlanta legend Donnie McCormick seen in this video playing his ram horn adorned chicken coop.
I miss you Donnie Mac.

Omar (can't think of his last name) who played with Paul Revere and the Raiders for many years. I first saw them live in the 70's (I think) and he was their drummer and lead vocalist. He sounded just like Mark Lindsey when he sang. We saw them again some years later and he was still their drummer but wasn't singing lead any more and I don't know why. I just checked their website and he's no longer with them. I
