Mine was a 57'. 5F6 eh? Anyhow awesome collection my man.

I broke my left arm (radius) and didn't gig for a while, then went to bass for a few years, but am now playing lead again (for about a year). I'm putting my Prosonic to the test and it's held up very well. Zero problems.

DOUBLE AUGHT is on an extended hiatus, although we are selling CD's and digital downloads through CD Baby. We're still the best of friends, but Owen is building a house a several hours away and needed the time. For some reason the UK is buying "Never Been Lonely" a lot.

I'm working steady though with another band or 2, did a solo acoustic project (just me and a Gibson J45RW) and I'm thinking about a 65 DRRI for smaller venues, and to take some of the strain off the Prosonic. (I don't really know why, just gassing I guess.)

Best of luck to you my friend.

Okay. Here's the deal. I've got some 14" legs ordered for my Prosonic. (shoulda used MF because it's taking forever from my Fender dealer!)........

I've been leaning it back when I can, but was forced to use a stand last night because of the stage, and hated it. It was off the floor about 2 feet, (the bottom of it) and I really prefer having it on the ground. I swear the bottom sounds better.

But I'm to the point that I have to have it aimed up at me to keep a handle on it.

Anyhow, is there a link to the template yet? Did I miss it? I'm sure I can figure it out looking at Naked Clarkes pictures, and being a redneck, beer drinking, construction worker.

Just wondered?

Best to ya.

I had one of the first green Prosonics ever made.
Had to sell because i moved from one country to another.

I am desperately looking for another one, but it needs to be one of the 1st 250, the one that say fender musical instruments below the light.
I am playing thru a Budda SD 80 now, which is a monster of an amp, but i still miss that Prosonic, so if anyone has one for sale, please let me know2

I was curious about what impedance cab you need for the extension speaker to attach to Prosonic combo?

According to the manual, plugging in an extension speaker switches the output impedance to 8 ohm. It also says the extension speaker won't work unless internal speakers are also connected. From the schematic it looks like the extension jack is wired in series with the internal speakers, which would make sense with the above.

The internal speakers are wired as 4 ohms... so another 4 ohm cab in series with that would add up to the required 8 ohm load (is that right?)

Sounds ideal for me as I have another 4 ohm 2x10 cab I could use... but some people on here were saying it should be a 16 ohm extension cab...?

Seems that would only make sense if the internal speakers were wired to 16 ohms and the two outputs were in parallel.

Have I got the logic wrong?

The combo speakers should be wired to 16 ohm not 4 ohm.

Okay I have actually got my hands on the Prosonic I was buying now (sounds great!) and I see now I got everything back to front...

The combo has two 8 ohm speakers wired in series, ie 16 ohms. The extension jack is wired in parallel, so yes you need a 16 ohm extension cab to make 8 ohm total load.

Heads up. You will not need an extention cab for a 2;10 Prosonic. If you take the time to understand the eq, which is very complex, you can, and I just did (last weekend) play a 400 seat club without being in the board. That way you can push the tubes. Ya gotta get it off the floor, so you don't kill the front row, or kicked back, but with a little time and tweaking it is the boss.

I went ahead a bought a marshall avt 200 watt halfstack waiting to be plugged in, anybody suggest how good or bad this setup may sound?

The leg attachment template is on the way to 00. Greg Gorgas sent it to me and I have been waiting to pass it on to the next FDP member for their Prosonic. Thanks again Greg. Let us know how it goes Ben.

Oooh! I want one too.

Have a stock Prosonic and thinking it would be a good idea to put legs on it.

My email light is on if you would be so kind as to send me the template. Also, what size and where could I get the tilt back legs?

Thanks!

The template is for 14" legs which is what I used and I think that is what 00 is going with. 16" legs would have to be mounted very high on the cab or they would hit the floor. I wrote our names and dates used on the template and suggest 00 do the same. Any of the mail order places and national music store chains carry the legs or you can try ebay. Make sure you get the stops also.

Let me get this straight!

My job is to use the template, sign it, then send it to the next person that asks?

I'm cool with that, if that's the deal, Naked. You don't want it back?

Hell, I may never use it, I've had the legs ordered from my local Fender dealer for 3 weeks, and they ain't here YET!

They BETTER include the stops!

It took MF 2 months to get my legs to me. 14" legs are hard to come by. Now I'm waiting for Weber to build me some 10" AlNiCo California speakers.

The template was given to me by a very kind FDP member. It is the same size as the side of the Prosonic combo cab. I promised to pass it along to the next member upon request. It will only cost $4.05 to keep it moving on to the next person. If you are not ready to use it when received just mark your cab accordingly and install the legs at a later date. Then you can send the template on to the next member without delay.
