Nice indeed.

I played one of those for a few Minutes at Mr H's house last week.

Very nice.

Here's my new Sixgun/Buckshot Hybrid. I've been playing it nonstop for the past week.

This is my first import Reverend. (It won't be my last)

Great score. I've had mine for a little over a week now. I play it every day and I don't think I've had to tune it yet.

The neck/set up on this guitar is perfect. (As I got it).

One of the happiest guitar purchases I've made in years.

I still have my Charger HB.

Not a lot of them were made with the chambered mahogany body and the spruce top--less than a hundred.

I switched out the Reverend alnico humbuckers for some Epiphone ceramics this year. The bass contour control really creates great single coil sonds and with the bridge pickup on it sounds like my Tele. The best neck shape out of any of my guitars and rock solid tuning stability. It is my Swiss army knife of guitars.

I took my Flatroc to a Jam last night. What a nice balance between single coils and humbuckers.

Still the proud owner of a Slingshot Custom (pic in profile).

And I wouldn't be surprised if I own another of the newer models again some day.

IPL - Glad to see you're still putting the ol' Flatroc to good use!!! :)

When looking for my new bass last week my wife took me to a previously unknown Guitar Shop in Grapevine Texas. They also have an ebay store but the prices are lower in the shop (guess they want a little "wiggle room" as they are a Buy it now/Best offer type deal. I was blown away with the stuff they had in there. Something for everyone and they have Reverends including Reverend Basses. I am not affiliated with this "Mom and Pop" store but really enjoyed doing business with them and could play till my heart was content (without all the wankers like in GC) and walked out with a brand new 2011 Fender American Special Jazz Bass at a nice price. If you live anywhere near Dallas/Ft. Worth you need to check this place out. The lower floor is Grapevine Antiques while a stroll up stairs is Grapevine Guitar works (Grapevine Tx.) They have a web site.

Hey Ski,
I have a Double Agent, but I don't know what the II means- neck binding? Like all Revs, it is very nicely made, comfortable, etc. My one quibble is that I find the humbucker a bit dark - I find myself wishing it had a bit more treble to it. It can be EQed, though, and it's not so much an issue at higher volume. Could be the maple top brightens it up a bit, which would be a good thing IMO. Anyways it shares being my favorite with the Flatroc.

I put a Bigsby on mine using a Vibramate and a roller bridge.

Oh, and New Used Reverend Day!I have been watching EBay for a long while, waiting for a black Roundhouse to appear. One did last night with a very good BIN price, so I jumped on it. It will get the Bigsby treatment as well. Could be it will become # 1, as I've been more into an LP scale recently, and I do like the Revtrons.

Hey Professor!

Looks like the Double Agent II is a newer version with a Slingshot shaped body. Same pup configuration as the original.

Not surprised to see you give it the thumbs up - a good thing. I'm trying to see if a local dealer will get one in stock for me to try before making the purchase decision. In the meantime, I'll let the gas stew a bit and see if it builds or subsides. I'll also keep my eyes open for a used one.

Congrats on the Roundhouse!!!

Hi Guys,
I have a quick pricing question. Can anyone give me a ball park for a Blk/Tortoise, stop tail Jetstream HB (Lefty)? Condition is an easy 9.

I checked the usual places to get an idea of what it might go for for, and came away with very little. Didn't the lefty's cost a little more new than the right handed models?

Anyhow, I can pick this one up for less than 300 and, being right handed, would just be looking to flip it.

Thanks in advance.

The right buyer would pay $550 (with case) or so for it.

Edit to my post above from last November, I was wrong about the treble in the Double Agent. I wasn't using the bass contour properly. It's perfectly fine. Great, versatile guitar.
